Ski Portillo is the first Ski Resort of South America.
The Ski Resort «El Portillo» is located 146 km from the capital of Chile, two hours by land. The Portillo Hotel is an icon since 1966 and one of the most complete ski resorts in the country. It has 123 comfortable rooms overlooking the beautiful Inca lagoon or the valley where it is located. Despite that in its surroundings you will not find towns or shopping centers, you will not need anything . The hotel has restaurants, a bar, a nursery, a games room, a clinic, a spa, a multi-court, a shop, a photographic service and a cinema.
«El Portillo» is the oldest ski center in South America located in the province of Los Andes, in the region of Valparaíso (Chile).
It is one of the oldest and most prestigious ski centers in South America and is located 40 kilometers from the base of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the hemisphere where big international snowboard and ski tournaments have been held.
«El Portillo» has an area of 500 hectares of skiable surface, distributed in 20 kilometers of slopes of different degrees of difficulty (45% easy slopes, 30% intermediate slopes and 22% difficult slopes)
The ski school is the best in South America, it had 4 Olympic champions as directors, and it also trained several winners of important competitions.
